Bubble Trouble
June 30, 2006

If you run into bubble trouble dubble bubble offers this advice:
“So, you were blowing a bodacious bubble and it bursts on your face – no problemo. Just take the remaining wad of gum and dab it against the strands on your face; it should stick to itself. Pop it back into your mouth and chew…” –
They mention the 4 Key Steps needed to blow a bubble:
1. Chew at least five chunks of gum with a teaspoon of peanut butter!
2. Chew the gum for at least five minutes to dissolve the sugar.
3. Flatten the gum on the roof of your mouth or between your tongue and teeth.
4. Part your teeth, then breathe out slowly until a bubble forms

Screens with a view
June 24, 2006

This window paintings from Mimi Pfeifer really have a screen with a view, the landscapes have a nice pastel look; but they are actually air brushed on the screen, nice.

It is Raining!
June 23, 2006
"Raining animals is a relatively common meteorological phenomenon, with occurrences reported from many countries throughout history. The animals most likely to drop from the sky in a rainfall are fish and frogs, with several types of birds coming second." But this is the first time for horses!

“Mexican food”
June 8, 2006
I could not agree more!
"It's true all over the world, but nowhere more than in Mexico (Italy?) in my opinion. What we (Americans) call "Mexican food" bears little or no or zip or naught or nada resemblance to the fantastic fare that Mexicans eat on the street or in excellent restaurants. (For a global "street food nut," it doesn't get much better than Mexico—only Thailand can offer a run for the money. And, yes, I am blessed with an iron gut. Knock wood.)"
