“A clean environment and a healthy economy do not conflict”
Al Gore
We better take care of our planet, it is the only one we have. The average American generates about 15,000 pounds of carbon dioxide every year from personal transportation, home energy use and from the energy used to produce all of the products and services we consume. Do you want to do something to help stop global warming and have a clean environment?
The http://www.climatecrisis.net/ site lists 10 things that you can do:
- Change a light
- Drive less
- Recycle more
- Check your tires
- Use less hot water
- Avoid products with a lot of packaging
- Adjust your thermostat
- Plant a tree
- Turn off electronic devices
- Spread the word!

This week’s topic is: Opposites.
Ying and Yang Principles
1. Yin and yang are opposites.
“Everything has its opposite—although this is never absolute, only relative. No one thing is completely yin or completely yang. Each contains the seed of its opposite. For example, winter can turn into summer; “what goes up must come down”.
2. Yin and yang are interdependent.
“One cannot exist without the other. For example, day cannot exist without night. Light cannot exist without darkness.”

Human sacrifice in Aztec culture
“For most people today, and for the European Christians who first met the Aztecs, human sacrifice was and is the most striking feature of Aztec civilization.
Human sacrifice was practiced throughout the Aztec empire. One important place where evidence of human sacrifices has been found is at Tenochtitlan, the main Aztec city buried under today’s Mexico City. The excavation of the offerings in the main temple has provided some insight in the process, but the dozens of remains excavated are far short of the thousands of sacrifices recorded in popular accounts.” wikipedia
